Ocean freight for a landlocked country

Economical ocean shipping for larger volumes, in full containers or shared container space.

Sea freight is generally the most economical way to move large or heavy cargo over long distances. For Nepal, it also needs an extra step: since the country has no seaport, ocean shipments typically combine a sea leg through a port in India with an inland road or rail leg to or from Nepal.

We help you plan that whole journey, not just the part on the water. That includes container booking, transit documentation and coordinating the handover between the port and inland transport.

Which container option makes sense depends on volume. Full Container Load (FCL) gives you a container of your own. Less than Container Load (LCL) lets you share space and pay for what you use, which can suit smaller shipments that don't need to move quickly.

How sea freight works with us

  1. Step 1

    Assess the cargo

Volume and weight help decide between FCL and LCL.

  2. Step 2

    Plan the full route

Ports, transit and the inland leg are planned together.

  3. Step 3

    Document and book

Bills of lading, transit and customs paperwork are prepared alongside the booking.

  4. Step 4

    Move and hand over

We coordinate port handling, inland transport and delivery.

When it's a good fit

  • Regular export consignments to overseas buyers
  • Importing raw materials, machinery or finished goods
  • Heavy cargo where air freight isn't economical
  • Planned shipments with flexible arrival dates
